DIVORCE – FINANCIERS BEWARE

Part VIIIAA of the Family Law Act 1975 commenced on 17th December 2004. These new provisions authorise the Family Court of Australia to make orders or injunctions in relation to the property of a party to a marriage that is related to or alters the rights, liabilities or interests of a third party to the marriage, such as a creditor.
