Rob joined Kemp Strang as a Consultant in April 2001, having been a long-standing Partner of Greaves Wannan & Williams, one of the State's foremost agribusiness and rural law firms. Rob took the opportunity to become a consultant in order to spend more time on his own agribusiness and rural interests in Mudgee, and to take up some external Board positions. These positions include:

• Chairman of the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge Foundation Limited
