Jim is a seasoned litigator and has practiced in commercial, debt recovery and insolvency for over 30 years.

Jim acts for a number of Australia's leading financial institutions in security enforcement, debt recovery and insolvency-related matters. He has also supervised several receiverships, acting as an advising lawyer appointed by financial institutions.

Jim conducted proceedings for the liquidator of Sands & McDougall (Printing) Co. Pty Ltd against the Deputy Commissioner of Taxation in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the Federal Court of Australia, a landmark case resulting in significant changes to the law on unfair preferences.

Jim has played a major role in the development of Kemp Strang's nationwide mortgage recovery services product, and supervises the conduct and development of the product on a day-to-day basis.
