Kemp Strang advises on creation of new ARL Commission

Kemp Strang is proud to have been the legal adviser to the Australian Rugby Football League Limited (ARL) in connection with the creation of the new, independent Australian Rugby League Commission.

The Kemp Strang team, led by Steve Williams, worked closely over many months with the ARL and other key stakeholders in the lead-up to the reconstitution of the ARL entity and launch of the new Commission, the agreements for which were signed last Friday 10 February at the new League Headquarters at Moore Park.

Mr Williams said: "It has been a great pleasure for the Kemp Strang team to work with the ARL, their stakeholders, and all the other parties and their advisers, on such a significant development for the game of rugby league.

“This was a very complex restructure which required input from a large number of stakeholders and other interested parties, so it took some time to get it right, and we are very confident that the Commission will deliver significant benefits to the code and its fans.

“Our best wishes go to the Commissioners, NSWR, QRL and all of the clubs who for the first time are direct members of the governing body for their game", he added.
